On the way out of the building for some kind of walk, it seemed to me that we would benefit from the inspiration of stopping to look at a large painting of Badger Panderak, the historic horseman.

One thing that's intrigued me about some of my dreams is that, when I stop to write them down, there's maybe but a few seconds of scene to recount, but a whole ton of context and backstory.

Yes, I suspect that's very common. You feel as if you're dreaming a whole universe.

Almost like a variant of that thing where you hear your alarm go off and it prompts a dream that seems (to you, dreaming) to have started before the alarm went off.

Oooh, I didn't know of that but perhaps I'd not have realized!

At least, glad to know the whole universe is maybe a fairly widespread experience.
