Our water kettle needed replacing so we had a look at the options. There are even fancy hot water dispensers that expect one to specify volume in advance. The fancier things are, the more I worry that they will go wrong. We have ended up with quite a pleasing kettle indeed: one pushes buttons to indicate desired temperature, and it's easy to tell if it's already boiled or still at work. I am not sure which temperature to aim at for coffee (90°C?), green tea, etc., but it will be easily looked up and even my guesses are probably better than my previous, it's on the way to boiling, we can stop it now.

My one complaint might be that, once the temperature has been reached the kettle simply turns off. At a past workplace, I have the dim recollection of a similar kettle which would hold the water at the specified temperature. Still, I am happy with it, easily pleased with being able to watch the temperature climb as it works.
