Avoidable issues for the disabled
Nov. 3rd, 2016 07:50 pmCity center traders in Perth are having the council reduce the number of disabled parking bays. There already isn't a great abundance of them. I wonder to what extent people appreciate that for the disabled a lack of spaces on their target street could easily mean a wholly aborted trip.

What fraction do have some medical condition causing dwarfism I don't know but I imagine that even something as simple as being unusually short is more inconvenient than I realize and sometimes needlessly so. I recently saw some food and drink being offered from a high countertop and I had a vision of people having to grumpily unstrap their foldable stool from their back. I don't know what they actually do but I suspect it often tests their patience.
