Thing is, AIUI the majority of UK trade is with the EU, and the supermajority of Scottish "trade" is with England. So the current arrangements make more sense than any alternatives. Free trade with Nigeria isn't going to make up for 20% tariffs with France and Germany.
Not to mention the effect of London losing the ability to host euro-based finance.
