This time in the tropics is again transpiring to be as wonderful as hoped. Some aspects I can't yet share but a nice example might be today's late afternoon swim. I rode in what was basically a large metal sidecar aside a low-powered motorcycle to Aninuan Beach which has coconut trees along the back, and at one point I heard a monkey. The water was lovely to swim in, I saw a distant parasailor, a school of small fish jump above the surface a couple of times, I also got to watch the sunset, then heard the call to prayer, before returning to the rented house. Many things in a newly industrialized country are different, here even the stars are in the wrong-for-me places and some I don't recognize at all, but I still feel comfortable, things come to make their own kind of sense, at least not much less than they do where I came from.

That sounds lovely. I love the different sounds from different places. Pat and I have been known to just let our phones record for a bit to keep a piece of it for our memories.
