Workouts update

… and indeed this morning's workout was over 5% slower, more like Thursday evening's. Though, I had awoken after less than six hours' sleep. The machine felt fine and I didn't breathe as hard, I just felt tired and weak, not ready to push hard.

Large item inventories in the US

In visiting the US I was pleasantly reminded of how much more easily I can find what I want there. One simple example was sage derby cheese which I had mentioned a couple of years ago that I intended to try. I have been on the look out for it since. Although it is an English cheese I finally found it in the US in Whole Foods.

I also had a pleasant reminder of how much better the libraries are in yet another state. My normal complaint about British libraries regards books but in chatting about Alien: Covenant (2017) the subject moved on to Pandorum (2009) and not everybody had seen it. We simply went over to the nearest local library branch; they had Pandorum on DVD and one could borrow it for a week for free.
