It is nice when one finds a simple fix. That reminds me of when one of my interior doors started rattling a lot. I considered various ways to try to fix it, to make the door more snug against the frame so it wouldn't rattle. Then looking online, I finally found all I had to do was slightly bend the metal tab on the strike plate.
