Yes, I'll be setting up eventually for a very modest existence if I reach old age, my pension provision right now is as laughable as my net worth. That's what I get for a fairly unstable life with lots of changes though, if I'd just bought a house near a large city back in my 20's and stayed there, I'd probably be in rather better shape now in my 50's. As it is, R. and I have been trying to set up a family home from scratch rather later in life. I wish there were signs of things getting easier. Once the kids are all grown up and moved out, we can downsize. With luck, I'll be able to eke out enough of a living doing remote software work.
