A gruesome dream fragment

mtbcI saw that my arm had plenty of long thin growths, almost like tendrils, veiny and fatty and such, like skin tags gone wild. I hypothesized that this is a thing that can happen as one ages, though was surprised by how bad it had become without my noticing. I wondered if I might try simply cutting some of them right off with surgical scissors or a scalpel, they would probably hurt and bleed plenty but that's okay.
I went to show R. and was surprised at how my arm now looked far weirder still before realizing that it was lying on top of a patterned shower curtain and I was looking at that pattern instead of my arm, that mistake seemed funny at the time.
Having awoken, my memory of the dream includes some rather substantial blood vessels with portions running entirely outside my arm, I doubt that amateur cutting of those might have been advisable.
