Well done! Hopefully the rugs etc. will help with your sensitive neighbour. I used to live in a ground-floor rental place beneath some very sensitive (and antisocial) neighbours, who would complain if we talked or watched TV after 10pm, but also constantly put junk down their sink so that the drain outside our back door blocked and water sat against our wall, causing dreadful damp and mould problems.
