Conveyancing is looking good

It looks as if we move to Glasgow next weekend. Everything is agreed and the paperwork all seems set and ready to go. I have booked a van rental, next week I'll try to start appropriate processes with the utility suppliers and the like, also pull out the mobile hotspot in expectation of broadband delays.

I was amused to notice that the firm of lawyers acting for me is comfortably older than the USA. Their Aberdeen office is rather near a couple of the flats we'd viewed before looking further afield, I'd thought the area seemed increasingly familiar as I approached. It's a nice city to walk around.

I would like to go to Scotland. I have a good friend there, and my great-grandmother's family was Scottish. Maybe someday I'll make it.

Paperwork went quite well in the end, I guess there was competence, at least mostly. Very handy given that I had an unexpected change of lawyer part-way!

Oh, goodness. House purchasing is stressful enough without hiccups on who is involved.

A fortnight before completion, our solicitor mentioned that this week was their last with the practice. I think they must have lined up the ducks well enough, there was broadly agreement enough beforehand.

Ooh, that's encouraging. I'd heard separately about some hidden gardens, not that, um, I've yet found them.
