Another visit from snow

Earlier this month, we got more snow. This pleased me, we hadn't had a good snowfall for weeks and it certainly felt as if we were due another before the season changed. It's since melted but we got to enjoy it while it lasted. With climate change, I feel less sure that what comes up next is going to follow past patterns, at least this one worked out. I hope that the flowers I see around now get to enjoy a lack of snow.

We've been getting snow pretty much weekly, right now we have a front hovering around us and it's in "will it/won't it" mode. I think there's a couple of inches out on the ground right now, not remotely enough to warrant digging out the snow thrower. We have snow tires on both our cars and laugh at such puny amounts.

In E TN, a colleague (familiar with Chicago) and I did enjoy locals' reaction to rather mild winter weather!

Admittedly, while I used to have tires with the mountain-snowflake symbol for winters, I never went as far as studs/chains.

While we've owned chains for previous vehicles, we've never used them and stopped buying them for our current generation of cars.  I believe studs are legal in New Mexico, I don't think I've ever seen anyone using them.  If you REALLY lived out in the sticks, you might need 'em.
