Pleasant notarization

I needed to get some jurats done and the US is interesting in how abundant notaries are, many people provide the service as a side job. I met one at Starbucks, which seems a reasonably pleasant place, I think it's the first time I ever bought from there, usually for me Starbucks is simply the answer to what is at the end of the very long queue of people in the airport terminal. I was the only customer to take a table outdoors, which worked well for reassuring me about the pandemic, the notary may have gotten a little hot away from air conditioning though.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear Brimful of Asha on the sound system, I love that song and hardly hear it here. I enjoyed sitting in the sunshine, listening to the music, watching the world go by as the notary made many notes. Also, on the way home, on the car radio I heard what I guessed to be World Cafe, apparently it was the Global Sounds Show, either way it's one of my favorites to happen to catch, usually local NPR plays classical and bluegrass and such instead.

My ex-girlfriend is/was one, I don't know if she maintained it. She completed her accounting degree and was working on becoming a CPA when she was smote with fibromyalgia. But pretty much every bank has a notary.

Hope she's getting decent accommodation for it now, it's been quite a journey to get it to be taken seriously at all.

It was a pretty amazing transition for her.  She was working for a professional corporation in a very critical role and they forced her to take disability insurance which she didn't want.  So she eventually took the insurance.  And then she was diagnosed.  And the company didn't want to pay out on the policy.  So she sued.  And got one heck of a payout!  And ended up medically retired before she was 40!  So she's sitting pretty. She sees a naturopath regularly for acupuncture and other treatments which helps, and has actually been getting treatment with ivermectin!  She has a parasite problem!  This was a recent discovery and while the first treatment cycle had to be stopped short, it showed to be effective, she's hoping that a second treatment cycle will produce very positive results.

It's pretty simple to become a notary, which is why they're so abundant.

Personally I find it a pain to be a notary (I was at one time), and so I let mine lapse and don't care.
