My cellphone, a modest Motorola, is rather similar to its predecessor. However, from the start, it had rather less battery life, I suspected some software change. Recently, the battery swelled alarmingly, amazing the guy at the excellent Secret City Exchange where I had thus taken it for repair. With a new battery, the battery life is far better. Perhaps that's what I get for ordering a cellphone from an Amazon marketplace seller.

I've never had a battery swell on an iPhone, had one replaced: Apple had a bad batch and it was a warranty job done when I was up in Albuquerque for a weekend conference. I did replace a MacBook Pro swollen battery once, that was interesting. That was a bit of work. And THAT replacement is losing charge far too fast so I may end up replacing IT! I really, really hate glued-in batteries! It was so much easier when batteries were simple snap-ins. This culture of "everything has to be ultra-thin and chic" is just pathetic. IMO.
