A sage tisane

I decided to try a sage herbal tea. It is almost nice, perhaps I could get used to it, but I do not find it so good that I shall buy any more. My problem is the associations I have with sage: poultry stuffing mixes, Lincolnshire sausages, etc. Popular though the tisane may be in Turkey, I am English and find it difficult not to feel a little as if I am drinking the water in which I boiled some component of a savory meat dish.
