Ha, yes, this does not come naturally to me. I found woodworking and metalworking interesting in high school, I am glad I had those classes, but for me it was all uphill. I have a decent applied math background but with practical stuff I also need time to think and study it. E.g., the holes weren't in quite the right place for one of the stand's drawers and it was only on the third assembly attempt that I got it workable enough, by inserting another piece earlier than I was supposed to before tightening that earlier part up (it just wasn't going in there otherwise). I am just relieved that the flat-pack contents in what I have ordered since this move have tended to be enough correct, so far; this one in particular, I never want to have to attempt to return!
