Early drinking in the bar

mtbcThe house that I am in the process of buying has a mostly finished basement dominated by a peculiar large L-shaped room with a small wet bar at one end: a modest counter enclosure with lighting, sink, shelving, electrical outlets, maybe a gap for a small refrigerator. The bar's at the front side of the house, along the back this room has windows and a door to the back yard. One could indeed imagine putting small tables and chairs then drinking down there, there is even a door to a toilet.
My interest in this bar area was focused simply on the usable floor area. Even post-pandemic I don't expect to make a habit of serving people drinks in my basement. Still, I kind of like it and might could find some use for the wet bar and for the room in general. It is not an urgent concern, there is more than enough room on the ground floor for only me, for now it is just something to think about. Today I realized that my current fasting experiment of eating breakfast and lunch each day but nothing afterward means that if I do want to drink anything alcoholic then I must do so untraditionally early in the day.
