My back's now mostly better, I am not much catching the nerve at awkward positions, the main problem now is just that I have an odd tightness on one side, including my hip. When I stand I am not straight upright at first: I ease through the last part and stretch as my sore spot loosens up. A clear sign that my back is improved is that after I get up in the morning it does not take very long before I can bend over enough to put my socks on. I expect to be back to normal after another week.

One kind of experience that interests me is that of physical sensations that are difficult to describe: that difficulty makes me wonder how universal they are. As my back has improved I have noticed a kind of sudden arresting sensation that seems like the nerve is caught: while it feels clean and sharp and to be avoided, for the past couple of days those moments have not actually felt painful.

Yesterday lunchtime I took a gentle walk through Dundee's city center and that went fine. This morning I tried working out. I got some way through and my back was not greatly bothered but I still cut my efforts short after ten minutes: I simply did not feel at all good. Over coming days I plan to slowly increase back to what I was doing. More immediately, I shall relax in the bathtub.

I'm glad your back is causing less pain. It's odd how little weight it takes to throw things out of wack. Maybe you should upgrade to a 2.0 body?
