Small remotes, newly ubiquitous
Dec. 27th, 2020 05:45 pmIn moving to the US I have discovered a class of small rectangular remote control with rounded corners and round buttons that appears to be ubiquitous. When I bought the house, I found that the colored lighting in the bar (!) is remote-controlled. When I bought some modest holiday decorations for the front windows, both the LED candles and LED fairy string lights have their remotes. Even my motion sensor alarms have such remotes. Fortunately each bears enough clues that I shall not mix them up but I guess more are coming and I hope that the code sequences they signal are enough distinct between devices.
