Exercise variability

Far from the previous monotonicity, the variance in the cross-trainer's estimate of my calories burned keeps increasing, in line with how I feel about the workout at the time. Until I am into the workout I cannot tell how it will go. This morning I managed just 845 calories but on Thursday afternoon it was 890. I have been looking at factors like when I ate, time of day, etc., as predictors but so far no hypotheses are being borne out.

Trump voters

Of the well over 60m Americans who voted for Donald Trump, Public Policy Polling reports that,

• 60% say that Hillary Clinton received millions of illegal votes


• 29% say that California's votes should not be allowed to count in the national popular vote


• 14% say Hillary Clinton is connected to a child sex ring run out of a Washington DC pizzeria


• 67% say that unemployment increased during the Obama administration.
