Getting more done when alone
Feb. 6th, 2016 05:29 pmThe puzzling thing is that when my family are around they don't much impede me, it's my fault that I'm much less productive in their presence. Often they don't have much of a plan and that means I can't plan around them and I end up waiting to see what they do and, as I like to interact with my family, I try to remain socially available to them instead of away ignoring them. Really, the only thing I have to watch out for is, when they turn the television on, I can easily get sucked into watching a show that I'd otherwise have avoided.
This is another thing I need to fix: I need to be more ready to just go and do my own thing, imagining what I would be doing were they not here, comforting myself in making it clear to them that they can interrupt and involve me whenever they wish.
