What we learn as children
Jun. 5th, 2026 06:27 pmWe have lengths of wire fencing that we use to limit the floorspace available to L. our dog. For instance, there's currently one placed to prevent him from eating the tasty-smelling corn-based cat litter from the trays, and sometimes there's one placed to prevent him from eating the cats' food or making a new friend of a delivery guy or whatever.
We've used the fences since L. was a puppy, too small even to jump up onto the sofa. He's a Shih Tzu but he's become a large one, as an adult he weighs around 20lb and can leap rather well. In particular, he could leap the fences easily but, fortunately for us all, it doesn't appear to occur to him to try.
