Dune (2021)

mtbcI braved the cinema for the first time in this pandemic to see
Dune(2021) which was worth the trip, especially as nobody sat nearby. My resulting impression is that: the movie looks great and I would gladly watch it again but it made me realize that, though I don't think a movie adaptation of
Dunecould be much better, the novels have so much plot and content that it would take a series to do them justice. The movie but nodded at or skipped a lot of detail: though it included many key scenes, it just didn't have the time to weave the rich tapestry that is part of what makes the novels special. Still, I am good with
Dunebeing the movie for which I took another step back into the Before Times.
