Radio annoyances
May. 18th, 2016 06:57 pmThis morning on the radio I heard an interview with a lady who was advocating a particular political policy view and some of her arguments were so fallacious that I was intrigued to actually find it less annoying to listen to commercial advertisements on a different station, which included another lady inviting us to identify with the hassle of having to replace one's kitchen every few years. I might have been more receptive to the first lady's arguments had her efforts to persuade put less strain on facts and logic: I find that the taint of the bad arguments spreads to any good ones hidden among them as the credibility of the source is damaged.
