A use for a counter

The main living area of my house is laid out fairly openly. Along the back of my kitchen sink counter, a slightly higher wooden counter extends into the adjoining room. I assembled bar stools that work well for sitting at it and found that, using the light that is above the sink, I can sit at that counter without shadowing anything on it. A further discovery is that this works ideally for restringing my guitars, the counter being rather longer and somewhat wider than them.
