Before we moved to Scotland I used to commute by bicycle to work in Cambridge, MA, and much enjoyed that. In the worst of the winter there was a bus line from our town that got me most of the way there.

Some research suggests that we could live in the southwest of Invergowrie to be much closer to Dundee, with frequent buses there, yet remain just within range of school buses to Perth. We would have to be lucky indeed to get a rental property but perhaps we could keep an eye out for one coming available in that broader area.
