Christmas cake decorations

mtbcThis evening mst3kmoxie fed the Christmas cake more whisky and we got to thinking about how it will be decorated. I thought back some years to my parents' cake which was reliably one of the funnier I have seen. Over the years they had accumulated plastic deer and a snowman and whatnot that would be arranged atop the royal icing: crucially, the elements differed in both style and scale. My memory now lacks detail but I still recall enjoying the way that Father Christmas towered over the chapel and the nearby fir tree.
