Brexit indicative votes
Mar. 27th, 2019 09:44 pmI was pleased to learn of the mechanism of this evening's simultaneous indicative votes in the House of Commons and was surprised that at least something happened in the way I would have liked. I wondered how they organized the counting with all the options being on the same piece of paper. British elections can usually be quickly checked and recounted because the first step sorts the ballot papers into piles. Of course, the result turned out to be a sea of
nowhich was not a useful outcome but I think that the exercise was worth a try.
