Fiat Panda mirror update

Our car's interior mirror success that I mentioned a few weeks ago turns out not to be. The local garage had in fact not sourced a mount clip and, absurdly, the clips appear to be unavailable without accompanying windshield. I shall leave the issue until the New Year, thinking it may at least be possible to improvise something suitable.
