From the store Iceland some of the convenience food has a tomato-based sauce that tastes weirdly sweet. There is pressure on the government to reduce the sugar in people's diets. I wonder if such dishes may become more palatably savory; perhaps instead they may even get artificial sweeteners added.

We know that commonly used drugs can by some measures do more harm than good. For example, in the simple case of reducing one's fever it can be that a moderate fever was actually a good move in that the pathogen may have disliked it more than one's body did so reducing the fever can prolong the illness.

I am sometimes achy some hours after a good workout. My reading suggests that some moderate ache is fine and that if I simply continue exercising as normal then it soon improves. On a similar note to the fever example, I wonder if taking a painkiller for the achiness might also have the effect of impeding my muscles' process of repair and improvement ready for the next day.
