"Bregret" idiots

The question on the ballot was simple and clear. The Independent reports how, some publicly admitted they intended to use a "protest vote" in the belief the UK was certain to remain in the European Union. I think these voters come quite high among the targets of my annoyance.

Also, those who could have voted but chose not to, any of the above, don't now get to complain.

Cats and vacuum cleaners

I was impressed that our cat Pippin recognized our vacuum cleaner before we turned it on and used it: he hissed at it and batted at it. However, today I may have realized why. I changed our shower head and hose and left the old ones on the floor briefly and Pippin hissed at that too. My guess is that, while the vacuum cleaner makes its irresistible way around the house at floor level bellowing loudly, the real objection is to its hose: perhaps cats react negatively to artifacts that are shaped like snakes.
