I find myself in possession of a Pye PCR2 radio receiver from the mid-1940s and a Friden mechanical calculator from a little later. The last I knew they were in working order but that was some time ago and I am reluctant to activate and use either lest I damage them in doing so. They are probably mostly in original shape except perhaps from work on their power supply.

I wonder how best to find them a good home. A technology museum would be nice but they might not be interested and they seem rather thin on the ground anyway. An enthusiastic, competent home (or club) might be best. I'll regard eBay as a worst option not least because of the weight of shipping.

I also find myself with a couple of 1970s-ish amplifiers each with a DIN connector on the back. I think I'd probably give these away to anybody who wanted to use them; I have no idea who'd like to hook up their audio equipment via DIN.
