I am not usually eligible to donate blood in either the US or the UK. Perhaps the UK rules relaxed as it appears to have been long enough since my last visit to the US that I think I can actually donate blood at the moment. There was a session close to my office today but on the three times I wandered over the queue even into the hall was rather long, goodness knows how the process was on the other side of the door. I'm happy to spend time donating but less so standing around to no good end. Looking around for other sessions there doesn't seem to be much on the way between Perth and Dundee, at least with reasonable car parking. Perhaps I should take it as a sign that they already have sufficient donors.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service's website's local session search is quite funny in apparently being as the crow flies. Newburgh isn't three miles away, for practical purposes it's fifteen miles away.
