Increasingly gentle workouts
Jun. 24th, 2018 10:23 amSince fixing the cross-trainer's broken bolt I have resumed near-daily workouts in the hope of gradually returning to something approaching my previous form. For each workout I cover a given distance at a given resistance and note how long that took me to do. Of course, distance is calculated by counting the strides. Apart from one workout where that distance took me exactly as long to cover as it did on the previous day, over the ten workouts since I fixed the machine I have grown monotonically slower: today I was more than 2½% slower than for the first.
I shall not draw any conclusions yet: I'll give it another month and watch the trend. This early on it is more amusing than concerning.
