General wellness

My back is now largely feeling better, it's just that improvement was a slow process. I'm somewhat impeded in other ways lately, it's hard for me to get my morning workouts in because first I have to drag myself out of bed early enough and, due to externalities, recently it has often been difficult to get to bed early. I shall get through it all but, more generally, I am frustrated not to be getting more done, besides quick trivia, outside work: I end up just wanting to relax in front of social media or television or whatever, I just don't feel like doing more. Nevertheless, I'll try to look out for and make my chances for more focused effort, at least occasionally; getting started is the tough part.

You're doing better than I am. I just want to watch television, write, or play on social media. Getting very hard to be motivated to do the other stuff. I need to exercise more. I have hand weights. Also wrap around foot weights. And yoga equipment - there is no excuse. Except for the fact that I don't like to exercise.

Well, there you go - don't own a cross-trainer. (Small apartment - no space.) But I take walks. Just can't do it every day. Yoga exercises, some hand weight lifting, and wall squats. So not completely horrible.

I do dance around the apartment on occasion. I like hiking. (used to love swimming - not really possible in a city, also have inner ear issues, and running - knees gave out).

Getting started is the really hard part. Maybe you can start with a few morning stretches, and then doing them again in the evening? Could be as simple as touching your toes, Twisting at the waist, stretching your arms. Work up from there. Won't take long, and then you can add a bit in the evening, but your body will be stretched out for the day.
