Reading non-fiction

I had mentioned recent difficulty in reading non-fiction, viz. that it sends me to sleep. This evening I tried reading some non-fiction, part of Michael Greger's How Not to Diet, and found myself quite able to. Perhaps my newfound ability to get a good night's sleep has restored my ability to read books more challenging than popular novels.

I love reading nonfiction. I'm reading a book about running the Iditarod right now. It's both funny and beautiful.

I have a similar problem now with "If Mayors Ruled The World" by Benjamin Barber. I've had it for a very long time and have started reading it multiple times. It's a topic I'm very interested in, it offers ideas I find fascinating, but I just can't get through it for some reason.
