The taste of deodorant

I use a spray deodorant that, instead of having a removable cap, has a band that one twists to lock it or, the other way, to unlock it. After swimming this morning I twisted the band and pushed to spray and nothing came out. My mind was elsewhere and I instinctively moved it so I could see the nozzle and tried again. Needless to say, it sprayed just as expected. I suppose that I shall need some training before they issue me my laser pistol.

So what's it taste like?

Nothing striking, at least. Perhaps I just didn't get enough of it on my tongue. I'd expected it to be strongly nasty.

Nearly the same thing happened this morning: first push was resisted, second push worked. Fortunately it turns out that I learn from experience.

My old dishwasher, a counter-top model, had a slightly ropey door-closed sensor. This meant that if you opened the door a crack to peek in and see what it was doing (which you might want to given that it was slightly flaky in other respects), sometimes it turned out what it was doing was spaffing hot soapy water into your eyes.
