This weekend's fast food

Today I tried out Chick-fil-A. I certainly don't plan to make a habit of it while they are not more obviously inclusive but I had never been and was curious about the good reviews. It isn't amazing but their signature breaded chicken sandwich came with a hearty portion of moist, tasty chicken and their own sauce tastes good. The drive-through was busy but well-organized, and the staff were efficient and friendly, so it is a shame that I do not yet trust them to direct profits ethically.

I have eaten Chick-fil-A once, and it was when my very conservative sister bought it. I thought it was fine, but I don't eat fast food, so it's easy for me to NOT buy it.

I will not do business with them. Not under the current ownership and their attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people. I want them gone from Canada.

It's my understanding that the people running the Tim's brand are working on that project.

I've never been to a Chick-A-Fil, nor had I heard of them. They aren't prevalent in NYC. Most franchises aren't - NYC tends to be rather food franchise free for the most part. Outlying areas, yes. Which is a good thing - because I can't eat food from these places without getting ill.
They have additives and gluten galore. I can do places like Chipolte, but not quite the same thing.

Did barbecue short ribs on the broiler tonight with wax yellow beans. Was good.
