Good yet unsung movies

It has been interesting to read of a possible return to the world of Dark City (1998). I enjoyed that movie rather more than one might think given how little I have heard of it subsequently, maybe I was very much the target audience. Again, I am minded to wonder what other such movies I would enjoy, were I to happen upon them, where a lack of talk since has kept them below my radar. After all, I saw Dark City in the cinema only by chance.

I know that movie! It's really good. I saw it on dvd, though. Not in a theater. I would think it was better in the theater.
