Easter breakfast
For breakfast on Easter Day it felt appropriate to focus mostly on round foods. I fried eggs, onions, tomatoes again, topped with some black pepper, accompanying it with some Scottish smoked salmon that I finished off today. I followed it with some dessert: some brightly colored malted candy eggs and a glazed strawberry donut.
Not common here in the US are the large hollow chocolate eggs and the Simnel cake I know from Britain; I seem to mention the latter here every year. Next year, when my life in my new house is more settled, I shall have to plan better so as to bake my own Simnel cake.

Ah, yes, NYC probably has just about everything I can think of. Brooklyn alone might, indeed, I did get the best fish and chips there that I've had in the US.
