What happened to the United Parcel Service?

I have barely been in the US a few weeks yet many of my interactions with UPS have been disappointing. For instance, I used their printing service and they did the job late and wrongly. Earlier this week, not for the first time, they left a package at the front door, except they certainly didn't, I was even here at the time; I did see the truck some distance away at the delivery time but what the driver did with the parcel, I do not know. I recently had a parcel diverted to a UPS Store so I could receive it more reliably; having picked it up, I am now receiving reminders to pick it up (yes, the tracking numbers match). I don't recall their being thoroughly useless when I lived in the US previously. Have they gone downhill? Maybe I am just unlucky or perhaps there is a local issue. Since returning, I have also used the regular postal service: USPS have been fine, no problems at all.

Update: I spoke with UPS on the telephone and a word will be had with the driver.

I think it must be a local issue. I'm not having that problem here at all.

I'm not having that problem, but our guy's been running this route at least ten years. He's not likely to mess up. (He's utterly unwilling to sign my name to packages but I can't fault him for that - if the package goes missing afterwards, he's the one on the hook.)

UPS has its issues. Amazon gave up and started their own delivery service. USPS is weirdly more reliable.

I gave up - and got the tracking app. I can track them, and I have instructions. But they are not reliable and spotty.
