A new cellphone

Last summer I expressed doubts here about the UK using Huawei in telecommunications infrastructure; for personal matters it's different. The on/off button on my Moto C seems to be failing and I am out of contract so I opted for a Huawei Y6. I find it to be an improvement, awkwardly taller but, among other things, the camera's rather better and I am glad to again have a phone with a notification light. I don't always get on with modern mainstream GUIs but I still seem to be finding Android quite usable. I also find this phone easier to type on, making me wonder if something was imperfectly calibrated when my previous one's screen was replaced, though a friend could still use it just fine.

I'm not buying from Huawei. Ever.

Call it fallout from the Meng Wanzhou mess still playing out in Canadian courts. Xi's still holding Canadians hostage over that.

Cool. I'm looking forward to my new phone arriving. I just want something that works like what I have now, only actually working. (grin)
