Large item inventories in the US

In visiting the US I was pleasantly reminded of how much more easily I can find what I want there. One simple example was sage derby cheese which I had mentioned a couple of years ago that I intended to try. I have been on the look out for it since. Although it is an English cheese I finally found it in the US in Whole Foods.

I also had a pleasant reminder of how much better the libraries are in yet another state. My normal complaint about British libraries regards books but in chatting about Alien: Covenant (2017) the subject moved on to Pandorum (2009) and not everybody had seen it. We simply went over to the nearest local library branch; they had Pandorum on DVD and one could borrow it for a week for free.

US Libraries are great. The people who work in them are so dedicated to making sure that what their readers/watchers would like.

I have a friend who was the head librarian at a small town library here in Florida. Every year she would come to me for suggestions of books to buy because she knew I read everything. She was committed to providing for her community.
