Domestic energy switch

I started the process to switch to Fischer Energy shortly before Ecotricity announced a price rise. Among other things Fischer seem happy to offer paper billing and allow me to pay on receipt. I would have considered a rival such as Bulb or Tonik but they require payment by automatic debit.

Make sure you understand any price risk you are taking on. Here in the NJ, the price rates of these alternate energy companies is unregulated, and the rate can be increased with no warning to you.

A few years ago, we got hit with a 300% increase for our most-costly month during the winter, and there was nothing we could do about it.

These alternate companies are basicly accounting/arbitrage firms, not real energy providers.
