Time travel in fiction

Many movies feature time travel in some way. Few manage to make it interesting while handling it such that it makes sense. I enjoyed Iain Pears' novel Arcadia's approach to time travel but I find it hard to think of its analog in television or film. Even with hardcore efforts like Primer (2004) I am not wholly satisfied: I do not see how the many retries with the armed ex-boyfriend were possible in the model but perhaps I am not thinking clearly. I wonder which other movies or shows make good non-trivial use of time travel in a way that is easy to buy as being more a consistent theory than a narrative or dramatic convenience.
