Colorful clouds

I wondered what the rainbow clouds are that I have been seeing lately, including yesterday evening and this morning. It turns out that they are nacreous clouds, a new term to me. People have been tweeting their photographs and the BBC news website features a story about them. Here I was thinking that our weather here is far more boring than Ohio's but in this respect I was wrong.
