Thank you, I think I have the basics down but may be missing something or making some mistakes. Occasionally the IRS disagree with me but don't explain why and don't adjust the figures by much so I shrug and move on. However, the alternative would be to pay many thousands to somebody who does understand expat taxes: that kind of expert is beyond my budget so I must do my best without them.
