If it helps, I use Librarything. I don't like that the barcode scanner links to the Amazon database for look up, so while it gets most of the books (it fails most often on older books, and Australia only releases), it doesn't always have all the details.

I'm reasonably sure someone at work had got a standalone barcode scanner app.
