Knowledge systems and paramilitary groups

In reading about a provenance ontology (which expresses a data model using an ontology language), I can't help but wonder if, despite the various British contributors to the effort, and how they use the example of grouping crime data by national regions, they might have managed to name it PROV-O without guessing that some of us can't help but think Provo every time we see it. I suppose they say that naming things is hard but I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that similarity.

My being British, my first thought is of the Provisional (military) wing of the Irish Republican Army, of course there are other groups too, which might come more easily to others' minds, such as those anarchists who opposed war in Vietnam.
