A pox on Twitter threads

If one has some substantial matter to convey, I have no idea why one might imagine that breaking it up into many little pieces works as well for digestibility as it does with food, the pieces are hardly independent. My heart sinks when a promising-sounding article turns out to take the form of a thread on Twitter. If the medium doesn't naturally fit the form of what you choose to express, instead trampling all over its structure, could be you're using the wrong medium? There are popular alternatives.

Or is everybody reading Twitter through some client that glues these things back together better? Rather like these people who remain ignorant of how godawfully formatted their messages can look in MUAs other than whatever webmail service they composed them in?
